Fall is here, the leaves are changing and the air is cooling. The start of sweater weather is here. Fall doesn’t mean that you have to stay in your house though, oh no, it’s not time for you to hibernate yet! In fact, I am sure your kids are just raring to go. If you are on a budget, there are still may different fall activities you can participate in.
Go Apple Picking
Apple picking is such a fun thing to do as a family and it serves a purpose too! Now not only did you have loads of fun, you also have a bunch of apples for snacks and pies.
Bake a Pie
Bake an apple or pumpkin pie with the entire family. Taste test it together after.
Right now, is the perfect time to collect leaves to make a collage. The leaves aren’t too dry and crumbly yet, so you can make some beautiful art with them!
Go on a Hayride
Hayrides are so much fun for the entire family! There are many farms that offer hayrides during the fall months. Find one in your area and enjoy taking in all the sights of fall.
Pick out a Pumpkin
Visit a Pumpkin patch and have everyone pick out their own pumpkin to carve or decorate.
Toast Pumpkin Seeds
Tis the season of Pumpkin everything and it’s a great time to toast up some Pumpkin seeds. Try different seasonings for some added flair.
Go for a nature walk and collect pinecones along the way. You can use pinecones to make crafts or simply display them in a glass bowl for a fall centerpiece.
Rake all the leaves in your yard into a big pile and then take turns jumping into them. Cowabunga!
