Disclosure: This post about realizing your career dream, was generously brought to you by Heritage Education Funds Inc. and as an ambassador, I will bring you information pertaining to RESPs but, as always, opinions are my own.
Do your kids have dreams about their future selves? Career goals and future job plans? My three older ones do already. My daughter is hopeful she will have a career in medicine, joining thousands of others before her saving lives and making a difference in the lives of many. My oldest son is torn between engineer, architect or video game designer (he’s 11), and my
soon-to-be 9-year-old wants to be a garbage man. They are all amazing goals and I only hope that each and every one of them grabs life by the horns and goes out and does what they love.
Those dreams and goals are going to cost depending on what they finally decide to take, their choice of college/university and whether they get any grants or scholarships and other fees that may be payable at the time they enter. This is why having an RESP is so important to my kids. I want to be able to help them get the education they want without owing a ton of money after finishing.
This month, Heritage Education Funds is highlighting some Heritage Heroes, whose careers have been kickstarted with the help of a Heritage RESP reducing their student debt. These are recent and not-so-recent grads hailing from all over Canada, and they discuss what they have accomplished so far in their field of practice/study and in their communities, what they hope to achieve in the future, and how RESPs have given them a leg up.
Over the years, generations of Canadian Students have used Heritage RESPs to help them realize their dreams of a post-secondary education, and it’s something the company is immensely proud of – their ultimate goal has always been to make college and university affordable for every child.
So, let’s celebrate the Heritage Heroes as they tell their stories of success and ultimately how the Heritage RESP helped them realize their dreams.
