I love the fruit that comes with summer. I also love the prices for fresh fruit compared to winter prices too. It’s the perfect time to get out with the family or entertain friends and what’s better than a refreshing punch filled with the flavour of berries and lemon to stir things up this summer. This simple recipe will elevate your everyday ice tea to a summer berry punch worthy of sharing. Not to mention it’s easy and takes minutes to get ready. This is a non-alcoholic version although you could very well add a rum or vodka or even a sparkling wine to it for adult entertaining, I like it just as it is and so did my kids.
The berry punch is refreshing and not too sweet thanks in part to Nestea reducing the sugar in the mix by 25%, it contains no artificial sweeteners and uses real tea leaves. It’s such a refreshing drink anytime of the year but add the berries and sparkling lemon water and you have a wonderfully crisp summer drink.
2L any lemon flavoured sparkling water
1/3 cup + 3 tbsp Nestea Iced Tea Mix
4-6 fresh lemon slices
1 cup each raspberries and blackberries
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
So learning from experience, when you add sparkling water and Nestea mix together you get a reaction kind of like baking soda and water so you have to take your time adding them together. I found adding the water to the mix already in a jug was much better. Mix it up until the Nestea powder is completely dissolved. Add in your berries and lemon and stir. Add some ice and enjoy!
Note: When using the sparkling water, you will have to use it as soon as possible as the carbonation doesn’t last much past a half a day. If you are keeping it for a longer time, I suggest using a lemon flavoured non-carbonated water instead.
Do you have summer entertaining plans this year? Would you make this for family or guests?
Disclosure: This post for my summer berry punch, was sponsored by Nestlé however, my opinions are completely my own and based on my own personal experiences.
