Summer break is literally around the corner and I know from having 5 kids that eventually I am going to hear the words “I’m bored” from one of them (except the baby) at some point this summer. So I figured why not get some help from some fellow bloggers and give you a list of 15 things that will help sure the boredom this summer and add a few little things to your summer arsenal to keep your kids entertained. One of my favourite things to do in the summer is to take them swimming and to the splash pads nearby for some great water play that is inexpensive. This year the city I live in has also helped to make it a little easier by offering a swim all summer pass for the kids for only $40 each child or $150 for the family. Great value and I can get one for the whole family for less than a trip to Great Wolf Lodge and it can be used at any of the 17 pools in the city. So here is the list for your summer boredom busting plans:
Beach Themed Playdough from the Art Kit Blog
Bubble Recipe & DIY Giant Bubble Wands from Red Ted Art
DIY Boredom Jar that Involves Giving Back from My Heavenly Recipes
DIY Cardboard Car Wash from Non-Toy Gifts
DIY Sidewalk Chalk from Everything Unscripted

Jumping Games for High Energy Fun from Books and Giggles
Make Saline Solution Fluffy Slime from Little Bins for Little Hands

I enjoyed looking at all of these great ideas for dealing with summer boredom and I can’t wait to try them all out when I inevitably hear the words “I’m bored”.
Pin for later!
