I figured since Mother’s Day is literally around the corner, why not do up a DIY bath soak that not only do I love, it can be the perfect gift for that special lady you call mom. Now, this isn’t just a Mother’s Day idea but can be made any time of year. You can pick and choose different scents of essential oils based on what you want the soak to do for you but I chose lavender and peppermint because the two smells combine to be quite soothing. Lavender is a scent we all associate with calm, peaceful slumbers and peppermint for me is relaxing as well. It helps open your nasal passages and I use it to take away headaches.
This is a really easy recipe and takes minutes to do. When I was in the dollar store, I picked up a few glass containers and they came in handy for this DIY and I now have a large mason jar, 4 smaller sized mason jars and 3 single use glass vials that I can use personally or give away as a gift. They can be great for baby showers for the mom to be, graduation gifts, Mother’s Day or even a birthday. My kitchen smells great now and I can’t wait to have the first bath with one to see how I feel when it’s all said and done.
So here it is in a few simple steps:
Mix all the ingredients together until well combined and then add to containers. This whole process took me about 10 minutes start to finish and if I can do it anyone can.
This can be kept for several months without issue but once you use it, it won’t last long! Enjoy!
What do you do to relax?
