About a month or so ago, I wrote a blog post on teething and one of the things I’ve used religiously since my fourth baby is Boiron Camilia. I have been using more and more natural products for my kids in the last few years and Boiron in a company I trust. When my last little guy had colic, it was Boiron’s Cocyntal that saved my sanity for the 3 months he had it. It was that experience that made me trust the Boiron products even more that now they are my go-to products for almost anything that happens with my kids and I have been using it more myself as well.
My little guy has literally been working on teeth for about 3 months and although he still doesn’t have one, he is a little cranky occasionally and giving him Camilia has calmed him and made him less cranky. He is now 7 months old and still has no teeth and is working so hard on them this month. He has had red, rosy cheeks a slight fever and just overall crankiness and still hasn’t popped a tooth and I can’t even see those little white buds on his gums. So what does this mean for me? Well, it means using a product I trust and not having to worry that he is getting something that isn’t safe. Having trusted this brand for over 5 years now, giving him Camilia is a no brainer.
So how can you help your little one get through the tough, cranky stage of teething? With these few tips, you can help make teething a little less awful for your little one.
- Give a dose of Camilia when your baby first starts to get fussy. It is super easy to get them to take it. You can give up to 6 doses a day for 3 to 8 days. They do suggest that if your baby is still fussy after 3 days, to see a doctor to make sure it is just teething symptoms. I have never had any issues when using this and I do notice a considerable difference. I like to give a dose right before bed to help them sleep as well.
- One thing I always do is make sure I have baby wash cloths in the freezer. You just wet one of the corners and freeze until you need to have baby suck on stuff. It helps to soothe gums and is easy for even little hands to hold.
- I love the rubber teething toys. They are super soft for babies to chew on and can help those sore, inflamed gums. They also make me less anxious about all those chemicals and stuff in some other products.
- Lots of snuggles and I find with my little ones, who are exclusively breastfed, they spend a lot of time nursing for comfort. This doesn’t always work with formula fed babies but snuggles are good for any baby.
Teething is one of the stages that waxes and wanes and can last a good chunk of babies’ first year or very little of it. My first 3 children, literally spiked a high fever of 104 and then the next morning out popped that tooth. My toddler spent about 6 months of his first year teething and it was awful. Drooling everywhere and just not a happy camper but Camilia helped (as did Cocyntal) and now with my last baby I am doing all of the same things to help him pop out that tooth that has been giving him grief for the last 4 months.

Thank You so much for this article. My baby girl is 10 months. No teeth yet, but she’s been teething since she was three months old. I do breastfeed her, and freeze teethers to ease her discomfort. Thank you for providing different ideasfor ways to help my baby ease her discomfort caused by teething.
