Shopping Made Easy And On Budget
As a mom with 3 kids in school full-time the end of summer is bittersweet. I love having them home all summer but by the end of August, I am ready for them to go back as is my daughter, who would literally go back now if she could.
I don’t know about you but my kids literally outgrow things faster than I can keep up, with 4 kids this becomes super expensive. I did the hand-me-down thing with the boys but as of this year, that is no longer an option as they are in relatively the same size and anything that would have been okay to hand down has all of a sudden become worn or torn so badly that I can only use some of the material for old rags or cut up squares to patch other clothes. So here is a tip because getting them ready for back to school doesn’t have to break the bank: BUY SECOND HAND. There are many companies that offer this service but the one I am most impressed with is iSpy Clothing based in Toronto. I went back to school clothes shopping for my kids on there as they sell clothes from newborn up to size 16. I literally spent $150 and got 20 items. 20 high quality, brand name items. Look at this stuff!
In this pile of clothes I got 7 pairs of jeans (2 for little man and 2 still had tags), 2 Maple Leafs jerseys for my older boys, 3 hoodies (one is Tommy), 4 long sleeve shirts, 3 shirts for little man, one fall jacket for little man and a scarf for my daughter (she loves them). This haul would have cost me well over $500 and I got it all for $150! I mean there are not many places you can shop for your kids that gets you brand name clothing for a decent price.
The shopping experience is super easy as well. The page is set up very simply and you can easily find what you are looking for based on gender and age as well. The online shopping experience was really quick for me and I found exactly what I wanted and had the whole thing done in about 25 minutes, start to finish.
I am proud to call myself an iSpy Ambassador and I will be doing all of the shopping for my boys with them. There is no reason for me to spend huge amounts of money on clothing that they will either outgrow or outwear when a company like iSpy can help me stay on budget and still buy the brands my kids and I love. I can’t buy my daughter stuff from iSpy as she is a little bit bigger than their largest size but saving all the money on the boys allows me wiggle room to get her clothes at a retail store. Although I am super frugal when shopping anyway, iSpy has given me the chance to save even more. My next clothes shopping trip for my boys, will most definitely be a visit to iSpy.
