I can’t believe that it’s come to an end. 6 weeks of purging and decluttering our home and although I definitely have some more to do, I have accomplished so much. I set out to remove 40 bags of “stuff” from my house and I exceeded that by 15 bags. I was able to recycle a bunch of things and even donate some half decent stuff to charity so that someone else can benefit from my purge. I also learned that if you put your mind to it, anything is truly possible and that you can declutter quite easily by just starting small. I was able to clean out crap from my garage, my entire first floor and kitchen and the one job I was completely overwhelmed with, my basement.
I am going to share all of the pictures again from day 1 and show you all of the wonderful things I was able to do over the last 6 weeks and at the end, I will reveal my new home office and playroom for the the kids. I can now be down in the basement and work and yet still have the kids have a safe comfortable place to play too. It will also come in handy when my husband is at work and I want to do some stuff so that the baby can have a huge room full of toys to play with while I work. It is safe and happy and hopefully this summer, we will finish it properly.
I am also grateful to my husband who did so much to help me get these areas clean and organized. He helped my stay motivated as well. So now I can reveal our new, happy, organized family space that we can enjoy together.
And our finished product!
So after all of this I learned that even the big things can be tackled if you just put a little effort in and with a little bit of hard work and some help from my wonderful husband we now all have a space to be in together, even if I am working on my little piece of the internet. I hope you enjoyed following along on the journey and this challenge and I hope that you will visit all of the other bloggers to see what their final week was like. Now back to work!
