I love tea but I had no idea that I had been doing it wrong all these years. I had no idea there was another way to drink tea that didn’t involve a tetley tea bag, sugar and milk. I love tea, so when I was approached about trying Tea Leaf Co.’s loose leaf tea, I was a little apprehensive, not because I thought I wouldn’t like the tea, but because I have never had loose leaf tea in my life. I was a tea leaf virgin.
Tea Leaf Co. has so many options for the tea lover in anyone. I was able to sample quite a few different teas from black teas to white teas, teas with caffeine and without. The owner, Stephanie allowed me to have VIP access to her website before she opened it to the public to have a browse around and to decide what teas I wanted to try first. The site was easy to navigate and I loved the fact that every tea had a description, how much to use, level of caffeine and how long to steep for. I was able to quickly look at the whole line of Tea Leaf Co. teas quite easily and finally, after a long debate, choose a few I knew I wanted to try. It was a very difficult choice as there are so many options and I wanted to try them all.
I chose a few for myself and then told Stephanie to choose a few for me as well, so that I could experience something that maybe I wouldn’t have necessarily choosen myself, being a tea virgin and all. The package arrived quickly and was wrapped so nicely! I was also sent little papers that look like tea bags to put the loose leaf tea in. As soon as I opened it, I knew that my very first cup had to be Spirit. That is another thing about Tea Leaf Co’s line of teas, each has a wonderfully unique name that fits perfectly with each tea. Spirit had such an amazing aroma and I was in love from the first sip. The earl grey flavour was perfectly balanced with the vanilla and it was perhaps the best cup of tea I have ever had. It will be my go to tea from here on out. I will also be investing in a tea ball (infuser) for future use.
Next up was Crush on You, a perfect blend of berry flavour. It was the most wonderfully smelling, sweet strawberry tea. It had no caffeine so even little man got in on the action. I wish I could have taken a video for you of him screaming at me for more everytime I took the cup away. The great thing about these teas, is that fact that they are natural, organic certified teas. I feel totally comfortable having any one of my kids have a cup knowing they are truly having a natural tea experience. I can let them have a cuppa without caffeine or chemicals, that makes this momma happy. They really do have the ability to calm and relax even this busy, crazy stressed out momma. I also got to try Serenity, Mighty, Jubilee, Stay Calm and Relax, My Happy Valentine (this one was soooo good too, a hint of chocolate and the warmth of cinnamon was perfect), Epic Day and Rock Star.
Okay you got me, I have decided no more tetley for me, I just love the loose leaf tea so much that going back would be a sin. I have said “I DO” to loose leaf tea and the only place I will getting it from will be Tea Leaf Co., and not just because I totally know the owner but because I believe she has an amazing brand and I feel confident sharing it with kids and you, my readers, knowing it is of the highest quality. I enjoyed every one of my #TeaLCMoments this week and I know that you will not be disappointed with Tea Leaf Co.’s tea at all. So this year I am turning over a new leaf and enjoying my #TeaLCMoments.
